Peru exported 3,584,395 kilos of fresh garlic in the first quarter of the year for a FOB value of 4,819,715 dollars, registering a notable increase of 166.6% in volume and 69.3% in value compared to 1,344,676 kilos exported in the same period of 2021 for 2,846,815 dollars, according to figures shared by Agrodata.
The main destination of this product from January to April 2022 was the United States, where placements were achieved for 1,667,939 dollars (35% of total shipments).
Next came Ecuador with 1,600,917 dollars (33%); Mexico with 602,160 dollars; Australia with 434,880 dollars; the United Kingdom with 150,678 dollars; Colombia with 84,284 dollars, and others with smaller amounts that together totaled 278,857 dollars.
