2015 saw some changes in the Russian frozen vegetables and fruit market. In the first five months of 2015, the output of fruit and vegetable products reached 15,700 tons, an increase of more than 50% compared with the same period in 2014.
Not only the output has changed, but the import and export structure of products has also changed. Imports of frozen fruit and vegetables fell by almost 30% in early 2015. The largest source of imports is China, while Polish products dominated a year ago. The supply of products to other countries increased by 12% in 2014, while in the first quarter of 2015 the volume and value of product exports fell by 20%. Most of Russia's frozen vegetables and fruits are exported to China, which accounts for 28%.
